Fees and Policies

We are a private medical practice and charge private fees.

In most cases once Medicare refunds are processed patients will be out of pocket by about $30.

We will bulk-bill pensioners, children under 16 and valid health care card carriers by appointment (EXCEPT on WeekEnds).

Please note that weekend appointments are not routinely bulk-billed and attract a slightly higher fee.

In most cases we are closed on public holidays, please call the surgery near the time to confirm.


Monday – Friday:

Standard Consultation: $85

Long Consultation: $125


Saturday:

Standard Consultation: $100

Long Consultation: $140


Telehealth Consultations:

Office Hours 8:00 -17:00: $85

After Hours: Bulk Billed if patient qualifies*

  • We are finding that our Doctors are conducting Telehealth consultations way into the evening/night and this is not a good work life balance, for this we are changing our policy for Telehealth consultations. Telehealth consultations are available for current patients during business hours, and there will be an $85 consultation fee. After Hours consultations are only available if no further in person appointments are available, and they will be bulk billed if you qualify.

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO BULK BILLING CONSENT

Under new Medicare requirements, verbal consent for bulk billing is no longer accepted.

If you attend the clinic in person:

You must present to Reception and ensure a Medicare Assignment of Benefit has completed before leaving the clinic.

If you have a Telehealth appointment:

You must provide digital consent by completing the HotDoc form sent to you after your appointment.

If the required consent is not provided, we will be unable to bulk bill your consultation and you will be required to pay the full consultation fee.
